What guides us at Kineo?
As a gospel-centered church, we are guided by the perfect Word of God—the Bible. It is God’s Word that is our standard of truth and we do not let culture dictate what truth is; as cultures have come and gone over the centuries, God’s Word remains forever.
What to expect at a weekend service?
At our weekend service, you can expect an hour and a half long service with worship, gospel-centered Bible preaching and weekly communion. As we worship the Lord in song, we sing modern music and hymns that teach about Jesus, the cross and God’s sovereignty. As we worship the Lord through teaching His word, whether preaching from the Old or New Testament, we teach through all of Scripture with the lens of the gospel, which simply put, is the good news of how God has, is, and is going to redeem man and creation through the finished work of Jesus Christ. We take communion weekly as our Lord Jesus told us to do it in remembrance of Him. When we partake in the Lord’s Supper we are proclaiming the Lord’s death; we also celebrate our freedom from sin and death through Jesus’ death and resurrection.
As far as what to wear, you will find all different kinds of outfits, but predominantly casual outfits. We do not want to have a flavor of dishonoring the Lord through our dress, but we also do not want to put an emphasis on anything outward that would make us feel more acceptable to God and people. So come as you are.
If you have children, you will feel at home at Kineo. We have a lot of kids for being a relatively new church plant, and we have great gospel-centered teachers and helpers who volunteer every week to teach, shepherd and love on your kids while you worship the Lord in service. All of our workers are trained through a church preschool training curriculum called Reducing the Risk and go through a background check. Our prayer is that you feel safe here at Kineo and that your kids enjoy learning about our great God.
